We believe strongly in the literary value of comedic drama and the effect of a well-produced comedy on an audience of humans.

We believe in silliness, irony, goofiness, double entendre and laughing even when you're not sure what you're laughing at. The mission of Bootstraps Comedy Theater is to put joy in the heart, a smile on the face and laughter on the lips of each and every audience member

Bootstraps was founded by theater artists who worked together in the School of Theatre at Stephen F. Austin State University.

While always delighted to meet and work with fellow Lumberjacks, Bootstraps' doors are always open for artists who are committed to producing quality theater and having a good time doing it!
